Well the Gator/LSU game went exactly as expected by most Gator fans. Tebow played, but play calling was very conservative. We relied on defense and ball control running to win the game. Should have put up a few more points, but the game was never really in doubt.

I honestly don't see why so many media were picking LSU to beat us. They're middle or bottom in every SEC statistical category, while we're at the top. Why did everyone think that an inexperienced QB was going to put up a lot of points on a 2 deep National Championship defense? Trying to create drama and controversy and hype for the game I suppose.

On to the next game.

Is it safe to say that the LSU/FLA game was the biggest game in the NC double A so far?

No! For Florida, it was THEIR biggest game because it was a roadtrip into hostile territory with a less than 100% Tebow. I don't think LSU is a Monster team this year. Inexperience at the QB, unimpressive running game this year. Lucky to have beaten Mississippi State.

I would say at this point that the Bama/Virginia Tech game WAS the biggest game in the NCAA so far.

I'd say they were equal. Bama/VT was ok, but being right at the beginning of the season makes it less big or important. UF/LSU was perhaps the biggest hyped so far this season. LSU was definitely overrated though. All moot, because Bama/UF come December will be the biggest game of the season 8)

Thanks for your unbiased opinion.

Heads up for Wednesday night as Boise State travels to Tulsa to Go Surfing in a Golden Hurricane. Boise needs to bring the "A" game. Tulsa aren't world-beaters, but if Boise plays as sloppy as they did against UC-Davis they're gonna go down to the wire against Tulsa. I'm putting this game on my "Upset Alert" watch.

please...

This is the second game of the season where Uof FL has been less than the "We pwn the world". Beating TN by 10, beating LSU by 10, that's not pwning, that's yawning. And now, they can coast until the SEC Championship game because their biggest opponent is U of SC and the Gamecocks aren't exactly world-beaters any year.

The hatred and jealousy is heart warming. Everybody talked the same trash about UF last year, "oh, they have such an easy schedule, who do they play?". Then they walk in and basically shut down the alleged "most prolific offense in college football history" to take a 2nd national title in 3 years. FSU "coasted" through a weak ACC schedule and still picked up a couple NC's in the 90s and then USC did the same thing with a weak Pac 10. Point is, whether a team runs through a tough schedule or not is not an indicator of the caliber of the team.

As for their wins so far, Bama wins tight, close games and it's called solid football. UF wins by 10 and it's a yawner and means they're not a good team. Hypocrisy runs rampant in football. Winning doesn't mean squat to some people, apparently being #1 means you have to win BIG every week. Too bad nobody said that about teams like OSU when they were #1 (who we beat the snot out of to win the 2006 NC). UF beat UT when at least 6 of our primary play makers either had the flu or an injury. We played a simple ball control game and was never in danger of losing to UT. UF just beat #4 LSU with the game never in doubt....solid running and a very conservative game plan because Tebow really had no conditioning or practice for 2 weeks due to the concussion. Between getting hit hard with the flu for a couple games and some injuries, UF remains undefeated instead of dropping one of those games like they've done in the past (or just dropping a game when they shouldn't, such as Ole Miss last year). So you can say we're "coasting" or that we're not putting up big enough numbers. Big F'n Deal....We're controlling the game, our defense has only given up 2 TDs this year, and we have a very real chance of going to the NCG for the 3rd time in 4 years......But go ahead with your hate filled and ignorant opinion of college ball as your team, whoever they are, makes their way to a mid-December bowl game. :)

Too Right!!!
also IMHO Peterson needs to win a Bowl game.. this whole "We ran the table in the Regular season but lost the bowl game" should not fly too long..

For whatever reason, I really like Notre Dame's chances against USC this weekend. The Irish defense is a big worry, they just give up to many points.

It's like Christmas eve in the Chippewa household tonight... :D

CENTRAL MICHIGAN v. WESTERN MICHIGAN

A CMU Win Over Western Michigan Would …
… have the Chippewas off to their best seven-game record since 1984
… give CMU winning streaks of at least six games in consecutive seasons for the first time since 1978-79.
… mark the Chippewas’ fourth straight 4-0 start in MAC play.
… give the Chippewas a four-game winning streak in the series for the first time since a five-game streak from 1983-87.
… be the first time since 1983 and 1985 CMU won two straight meetings in Kalamazoo.

Dan LeFevour enters Saturday’s game second in the nation in completion percentage. He has completed 122-of-170 passes this season, 71.76 percent. (Colt McCoy, Texas, 73.37 percent)
Senior Bryan Anderson and junior Antonio Brown have combined to catch 40 touchdown passes in their careers, tied for the most of any active receiving duo in the country.

Woooooo, Game On!!!

Didn't see that one.....DID see the calls on the game-tying drive (debatable defensive pass interference in the end zone & the out-in-out blown call on the personal foul penalty on the Hogs D-Lineman) plus the should-have-been called offensive pass interference on Cooper in the end zone on the game winning drive.
Too bad these refs have such a large hand in determining a teams' chance for success in a game.

Those refs are the same ones that called the phantom unsportsmanlike conduct on Georgia a couple of weeks back. A little late for Georgia and Arkansas but they have now been suspended by the S.E.C. until Nov 1st.
