I had heard about this in the office yesterday. I am surprised it didn't make more news than it did..

Mike Leach - coach of the Texas Tech football team blames loss to Texas A&M on his teams "fat little girlfriends"

here is part of the clip

and he is standing by the statement: http://www.reporternews.com/news/2009/o ... artner=RSS

I don't think the question was ever asked & I don't think Leach ever made this point but I BELIEVE he was meaning it as "Phat" little Girlfriends. Maybe I'm wrong. [smilie=noeyedear-shrugging.gif] Food for thought.

“No, I’m not apologizing to any of them,” Leach said. “Absolutely not ... as coaches we failed to make our coaching points and our points more compelling than their fat little girlfriends. Now, their fat little girlfriends have some obvious advantages. For one, their fat little girlfriends are telling them what they want to hear, which is how great you are and how easy it’s going to be.”

Leach didn’t stop there.

“As coaches we have to solve our failure on reaching them, and the players have to listen. I am willing to go to fairly amazing lengths to make that happen. I don’t know if I will be successful this week or not, but I am going to try, and there will be some people inconvenienced, and it happens to be their fat little girlfriends.”

nope - he really did mean fat.....

leach is an a$$... their fans are some of the nastiest out there.

Great win by my Aggies yesterday!

The classiest thing I have seen in a long time.... 2 min. left in the 4th. Ags winning 35-10. We are on the Iowa State 5 yard line. Instead of running it in, Coach Sherman had Jerrod run the clock out and take a knee.

That's good bull.

Worst moment - Morrow gets a touchdown in the end zone and salutes the military - it was military appreciation day. Refs called a personal foul - celebrating in the end zone.

That's bad bull.

A solid win for UF, though the dogs did help us with some stupid penalties. Even when it was 17-10, I never felt UF was in danger. We still have some issues on offense. It was obvious that outside of our scripted plays (the first 2 offensive series are scripted), Adazzio just isn't a great play caller. Our defense was clearly playing to not give up the big play and just keep it all in front of them, which they did, but watching the zone is frustrating. Our D always comes up with the big plays though. Considering the last 2 weeks, this game was fun (and relieving) to watch. Maybe UF turned the corner and woke up, maybe UGA sucked that bad...in any case, 14-0 8)

Just some recruiting nuggets for you guys out there.....

Vols got another 5 star silent commit today. They are now turning away players due to how many they have on board. Wow, how things have turned around quickly!

Florida fans.....I know we bickered about recruiting earlier in the season. Turns out that Kiffin talking to Florida's recruits after the game in Gainesville is paying off. I'll guarantee Jeff Luc will be all Vol come January and almost certain Matt Elam will be as well. In good shape with Christian Jones and Chris Dunkley as well right now. Nothing like cherry-picking Meyer's recruits on the way to the #1 recruiting class in the nation! Go Vols!
