Sail on, Drake Levin

Post by lime rickie »

Drake Levin, lead guitarist for Paul Revere & the Raiders in the mid-1960s, died Saturday at his home in San Francisco after a battle with cancer, according to former Raiders bandmate Phil Volk. He was 62.

DAMN!

I was reluctant to open this thread.
How sad.

Four of my favorite bands from the 1960's have now lost two members.
Beatles (John Lennon & George Harrison)
Dave Clark 5 (Denis Payton & Mike Smith)
Beach Boys (Dennis Wilson & Carl Wilson)

And now Paul Revere & the Raiders.
(Mike "Smitty" Smith & Drake Levin).

Those guys put out some fantastic songs.
And so goes yet another piece of my youth.
