I asked at the show in GW at the margaritaville RV and they had been told after the fall months, but nothing is in stone yet.

I was just at the M'Ville in Las Vegas in late June and got to try a sample of it. It was pretty decent, though I didn't ask when it was coming out...it's not high on my priority list right now. I just wanted to try the rum. I still think Appleton is better.

To properly prepare yourself for the release, go down to your local seller of bottled liquor, find the cheapest bottle of rum, purchase, take home, with magic marker cross out label and write Margaritaville, drink and keep drinking until it tastes good. At this point your taste buds will be properly desensitized so you will think this new release actually tastes good.

Pre-judging but based on my experience with other margaritaville priducts, I'm probably pretty accurate.

It baffles me why people feel the need to criticize Margaritaville products. If you don't like it, then fine, but there are plenty of people that actually DO like them. If you don't like it, don't drink it.

Many of us are curious as to when will the rum be out and how will it taste, so I'm glad this thread was started.

Hey LaTda, you need to go hang out with the real Nancy - Volcano.

Don't confuse truth based on history as "pre" judging. You like it, good for you, but we know where the line is drawn in terms of who likes crap and who likes actual good stuff. Until I taste it I will reserve my place to make fun of it being crap because of the tequila and the beer. When I do taste it, it will most likely be official.

I would love to be proved wrong. The problem is when people ask about the beer or tequila and there is no positive comment to say other than 'Great artwork huh?'

I got to try the rum. It's decent, but not great. I don't like the tequila. I do like the Landshark lager. Jimmy Buffett has nothing to do with my like or dislike of the aforementioned products. The taste and drinkability have everything to do with it. Said another way, just because something is labeled as a M'Ville product doesn't mean it is going to be excellent and blessed. I would hope most people are able to form their own opinion of the products, regardless of who's name is on the product.

Hey, SP, good to see you're still lurking about around here! I was beginning to fear that your 2-week vacation was going to turn into something more akin to Gilligan's three-hour cruise.

How long before "Bubba's Farm" turns up in the funny pages at the Cove's Tiki Bar?
(and I like the bit about "flavored wine type product". Have you ever looked to see how much wine is actually in a wine cooler?)

We're looking forward to trying the new rum. We expect it to be good.

We liked Landshark. Have a couple cases at the house.

We like the Tequila as well. Also have a couple bottles here.

We like the product for the product. It has nothing to do JB's connection to the items.

So we are excited for the release of the rum.

Thanks for starting this thread. If anyone hears an update about the rum, please post it.

Thanks!!

What truth? YOU don't like it, so obviously in YOUR mind that means everyone doesn't like it. Your lack of contribution to this thread has now been noted.
