As i said in another Jake thread he was SO good on his own I spent much of the time at GW watching Jake instead of Jimmy. He is an incredible performer and a super nice kid to boot.

From what I've seen and heard of Ilo with Jimmy, I bet he'd put on a great show. I'd be all over it if he came Chicago way.

As i said in another Jake thread he was SO good on his own I spent much of the time at GW watching Jake instead of Jimmy. He is an incredible performer and a super nice kid to boot.

Now I am very close by but mid week su**s!!!! Jimmy will probably show up too -saw his boat out here so he is probably bopping around & surfing at Montauk.

Thanks...I guess that means that Jimmy did not join Ilo last night!! I may still have time to get out to the Talkhouse for the show if I drive fast enough from Manhattan.

No offense... just stating facts. Jimmy rumors always surface when Mac plays the Talkhouse, always sparking a huge debate, and unless I'm mistaken, the rumors have been wrong for several consecutive years now.

If anyone reading this is the type who would go just in hopes to see Jimmy (which I'm not), please just go enjoy the show, and don't complain if Jimmy doesn't show up.

I'm just sayin'...

I just called -I really should make an effort to go -tickets at the door as they do not expect a sellout
And usually they have VIP tkts -meaning a reserved seat at a table-I asked her about seating & was told that there will be a few seats available but that they needed to reserve some of the seating for certain people.

I am going to drive out there tonight -please don't rain on me!!! Doors willl open for the show at 8pm -so should get there around 7 to get on line -maybe I'll be lucky & get a seat!!

As rumors go, the providence of this one is about as good as it gets...Peter (owner of the Talkhouse) has been close with JB for many, many years now, and when JB's personal assistant calls - reserves seats - and confirms JB's plans with him, well, that is pretty solid.

Nevertheless, there are any number of personal reasons why JB's plans could change at the last minute, so certainly no amount of advance info is absolute.

Yep, this caliber of info is as good as it gets.

But there was the year that Jimmy was supposed to be there when Mac played. Mic was set up, tables reserved, Mac was literally watching the door. Then something came up at the very last minute and Jimmy didn't show. So I hope you all get a great surprise tonight, but you never know.
