It boils down to pretty much time, patience, and some extra attention.
When I lost my male 2 years ago, 8 weeks after Gram passed and two days before mom left for vacation! I took Jessie EVERYWHERE I went. I knew she was missing Gram and Norman, then mom goes and leaves, she had to think everyone was leaving her. Until mom came home,I NEVER left her alone.
