Re: Mickey Dolenz wife arested for fraud
In searching for more on this story, I found the following information.......
[quote]While Quinter's Ruppert Yorkville Towers apartment in Manhattan had a market value of $3,600 a month, Quinter reportedly was only being charged $817 a month.[quote]
Now, I'm not against subsidizing rent for those who truly deserve it.....but should any government these days be covering 80% of the rent on a $3600 a month unit?
Assistance should be provided to those who live moderately and struggle to do so.....not those living in a nice apartment in a nice part of the city (living much larger than the majority of residents).
Donna Quinter definitely committed a crime....but I believe the city of the New York did as well for allowing this subsidy. The real crime is that they are probably doing the same thing for thousands of other when this taxpayer money could be put to much better use.
