Question on dog friendly hotels....

Post by mermaidindisguise »

I am leaving for PA from FL Wed and I am on a two-fold mission: taking a foster puppy up to my cousins house/ and at the same time going through my moms house since she can't return there and must move into ALF. I thought I would stay with my MIL in Lawrenceville GA wed night but I forgot she has half her house tore apart remodeling.

Does anyone know a pet friendly hotel along 95 (somewhere in Northern GA) that isn't terribly expensive?? Also - tips for traveling with pets would help too bc I gotta tell ya - this is a first for me.

And WHY can't I be timing this so that there is a Buffett Concert near PA that weekend???? :)

Thanks Phriends!!!!

Sorry I have been absent from the board - some tough stuff going on lately and now ANOTHER sinus infection. I want my old carefree life back!! WAHHHHHHHH (ok - I'm done... :)

This site lets you search by city. It gives you rates along with the pet policy for each listing;

It was a pleasure and a hell of an evening
Truly was our night to win
But the authorities insist on my leaving
Take care my American friend

La Quintas and Residence Inns allow pets, some charge nonrefundable fees but they all allow them.

Thanks Gary!

I am thinking we will stay at either Motel 6 or Travel Lodge in Florence SC..... wish me luck with this Motley Crew. At least my son is 16 and can drive a little to give me a break! :)

You're welcome, Megan.
If you're just staying for the one night and just need a place to sleep, I'd recommend Motel 6. Least expensive, and they do allow pets. If you're going to be staying for more than one night (at your final destination), you may want to give Red Roof Inns a call. They're not too expensive either, and usually provide great service.

Good luck in any event-the trip sounds stressful enough as it is.
