Was it me, or was there are remarkable reduction in the number of beach balls? I remember the pavilion being like a popcorn popper. This year - two stray balls. Funny I actually MISSED dodging those - it was like a warm up for Hot Hot HOT... [smilie=beadygrinner.gif]

There were beach balls all right; it's just that the steady wind that night kept blowing them all to the front of the pavilion and (in a lot of cases) up onto stage. Jimmy, Mac, and the Reeferettes kicked a few of them back out into the crowd, but most of them got shunted offstage into the wings. In addition, I saw the security people puncture and deflate some of the oversized ones that were in violation of the "rules".

I've never been to Alpine Valley, but now that i'm back in the great Midwest, I'd like to get a show there sometime soon. How does it compare other venues (both inside and outside the concert), like, say, Great Woods, Frisco, etc.?
"I need to start growing up," I thought to myself the other day, as I sat in my pillow fort.
