Do you have a fave Beatles album?
Any Beatles fans?
http://www.thisdayinmusic.com has a poll to find out what is your favourite Beatles album.
Abbey Road has the most votes so far, then The White Album, then Rubber Soul.
Have a look if you fancy a vote.

Re: Do you have a fave Beatles album?
I am not really a Beatles fan but I have several CDs I inherited from a friend. I don't listen to them all that much but when I queued up Sgt Pepper, I was struck by how many of the songs I knew. I know that it would probably be true for many of their albums. They were such a force...Spiritinthesky wrote:Any Beatles fans?

It's the only Beatles cd I own, though I "borrowed" some old albums from my sister that she never got back.dnw wrote:Abbey Road

Re: Do you have a fave Beatles album?
"Abbey Road" is good, but why isn't "Sgt. Pepper" (my first choice) in there?? That should be one of the top three.Spiritinthesky wrote:Any Beatles fans?

Or their first album, "Meet the Beatles"? That's the album that exposed the world to the "Liverpool Sound", and rock-and-roll would never be the same.
edited to add:
UPDATE: After casting my vote just now, I see that 'Abbey Road' is still in first place with 19% percent of the vote (661 votes). 'Sgt. Pepper' is now number two with 16% (560), and the 'White Album' is third with 15% (515). 'Rubber Soul' has dropped to fifth (12%/430 votes), behind 'Revolver' (13%/467). Interesting to note that between these five albums they captured 75% of the total vote....
'Meet the Beatles' isn't even listed.

Revolver is probably my favorite, followed closely by Abbey Road. I have all the Beatles Album on vinyl and almost all on CD.

This is a tough one. The White Album is probably my favorite. I loved their early stuff too. Oh I loved their later stuff too. Arrrggghhhh. This is like asking a parent which child they love more. OK how about A Hard Day's Night as favorite movie?
Rub yours on me and I'll rub mine on you

That's an easy one. Which ever kid is smarter, better looking, more athletic and has more money.Skibo wrote:This is like asking a parent which child they love more.
I am, of course, joking.

I was never much of a fan. I guess the White Album would be my favorite since that's the only one I ever bothered to take my wallet out of my pocket and buy.

I guess I'm not so different. Abbey Road and The Beatles (White Album) are the only ones I have on vinyl.
