Final Texas Journal #7
I'm sad to say that today is my last day in Texas. As you can see, I have visited a lot of cities and had a lot of fun!
After work, Dr. J took me to her friend's ranch. Below is a picture of me with Jim and Kathy. They breed cattle!
Jim thought it would be good to take me to the pasture where the baby cows were hanging out with their moms. Here is one of the moms cleaning her calf. Most of the calves were anywhere from 1 day old to 6 weeks old! The black and white calf in the background of this picture is only 2 days old!
Jim wanted to make sure I got up close to some of the cows. Here are some of the pictures. They were friendly and mooed a lot!
One cow even gave me a kiss - well a rub with her wet, slobbery nose!
It was REALLY muddy out in the pasture. College Station has had over 5 inches of rain in the last couple of days. Here is a picture of the mud - mixed with cow poop! Trust me, you could smell the cow poop!
Before we left, Kathy said we needed to get a picture of Dr. J's muddy boots. Here we are!
I have had a great time in Texas. I really want to come back sometime soon because there is still more to see! . I want to thank Dr. J and all of her friends for making my trip special. Time to head to Canada where I know it is going to be REALLY COLD!
