The Great American Beer Festival is this week in Denver. Awards were announced in many categories and the local brewery did well.





Dry Dock won a Gold medal for the Bismark Alt, a silver medal for the U-Boat Hefeweizen, a silver for the Reimes Marzen/Oktoberfest and Small Brewery of the Year!

Congratulations Dry Dock!

Very cool for Dry Dock and for Elrod. That is a heck of an acheivement and you get to have beer that is that good near by.

And it's very good beer. About 15 minutes down the road. Some of you that have visited us, have received a glass from this place.

They open at noon tomorrow and Da Bears and Seahawks don't kick off until 2:15 (local time), so I have time to pick up a growler before the game.

They aren't resting on their laurels today. The owner and one of the brewers are hard at work, two people are serving beer in the bar and they have three people working in the home brew store.

I had a pint of the Hefeweizen while the owner filled a growler of the Oktoberfest for me. Mmmm... Good stuff!

Octoberfest is most yummy!!!!
