Pair toss coins, cones over wrong size fries
QUINCY, Mass. (AP) - Police said a Boston man and woman, upset with getting an order of small french fries instead of large, were charged for throwing money and cones at McDonald's cashiers. Christina Galipeau and Eugene Jackson pleaded not guilty Wednesday to assault charges in Quincy District Court.
According to police, Galipeau, 22, became enraged after getting the wrong size fries at a Quincy McDonald's. Police said Galipeau exchanged words with a cashier then threw her spare change at her, hitting her in the face.
Police said 33-year-old Jackson then picked up two-foot tall cones from the mopped floor and hurled it at employees, cutting one employee's nose.
It was unclear whether Galipeau or Jackson have hired an attorney.

Wow. The sense of entitlement of some people...
I wonder if they actually paid for the large or if the cashier misunderstood and charged them for a small...

The cashier probably missunderstood. I've had that happen plenty of times at a fast food restaurant. That's why you have to listen when they repeat the order back to you and always check your bag before you leave the drive thru. It seems like almost every time I don't check they mess up my order.
But it's never anything worth going Rambo over.

Honestly, having worked fast food in my younger days, I really think that everyone should at least try it once. The crap that some customers demand is completely ridiculous. It would definitely make you more sympathetic to the people on the other side of the counter when you order at McDonald's or wherever.

While I do agree with you I think it's probably somewhat different now than when you worked it. At least it seems that way to me. Sure you have to put up with bs from the demanding customers - that's in any customer oriented job. It seems to me as if here in the past 10 years or so, perhaps longer, some of the fast food (and other customer oriented positions) seem to have a bad attitude. For example if you point out an error in the order I have politely said there's a mistake and they look at me and act as if I just asked them to cut off their left nipple. Recently we went to IHop and my toast didn't come out with my meal. My server came by 3 times and said "your toast is coming up" by the time I got the toast I had finished my meal and the toast was cold. There wasn't a huge crowd there either. Needless to say - no tip.

Maybe that's the sense of entitlement kicking in on the other side of the coin, the workers thinking they're "too good" for the job. Who knows. Or employers letting go of long time employees, to dump the higher salaries, and hiring people with little to no experience who couldn't care less about how they go about their job.
I think in these days of "how cheap can you get by", service is one of the first things sacrificed...

Jeezz. Of all the things to flip out.
If the worst thing that happens to you in a day is you get the wrong size fries, I have no sympathy.

I've worked at Denny's ..... I have a huge understanding and sympathy of waitresses/waiters. This was a BIT over the top.
