This is some great advice. While my lawyer didn't say to *handwrite* the persanal items, he did say to put them on a separate piece of paper and not specfically put them into your will. Since those things may change from time to time, if you put them in your will, you'd need to redo your will and incur additional expense. Having an addendum to your will with these personal items is a better way to go.
So, yeah, I got a will. I had one created after the birth of my first child. It's been revised for the birth of subsequent childen. Setting up a guardian for the kids was a painful decision but an important one.
