I've never been there, I don't know anything about the place. (Except that my military roots are there).
But I'll be there in two weeks (for my job).
I'll be cooped up in conferences every day from 8 AM-5 PM, but the evenings are free. I'll be there from the night of the 13th thru the afternoon of the 21st.

Only definate plans I have is to go to the Navy/Deleware football game on the 14th.

Garry,

I don't know if it will be warm enough for them to be sailing, but this is a good time.

Cantler's is across the water from my cousin's house. Annapolis itself is a great place...Could be my final 'spot', I love it so much. Do a city tour, eat at Cantlers and Pussers. Take a walk around campus. Only thing depressing to me is that just outside town everything is built up.

You will love it no matter what!

Thanks for the info, gang.
I'll definately try those restaurants and the city tour. I absolutely want to see the academy as well.

Thanks again. I seem to have a knack for enjoying myself WHEREVER I go. 8)
that's pretty easy for someone who comes from Iowa to do.

Go to Bertucci's. Ask to sit in Christine's section. Tell her you know me. Swap embarrassing stories about me and my foolish ways.

Have a Painkiller at Pussers. It's a beautiful town for just walking around. Find out what is going on at the Naval Academy. There is often something. Sometimes the band is playing.

The Ram's Head began as a brew pub with occasional live music acts in the corner of the room. It has evolved into the premier live music venue in this part of Maryland. They still have a great restaurant and bar, but there is also an auditorium (?) with table seating and live acts from across the country (various music styles).

Unfortunately there might not be anything of interest during the week you're in town. :(
But you never know. It might be worth a look at the last minute. (Also, it's well within your AO)

a half hour drive either way can also get you to downtown Baltimore or the Easton/St. Michaels area

Baltimore -- skip harborplace -- go to Little Italy, Federal Hill, Fells Point. All charming areas with lots of options to eat/drink
Easton/St Michaels -- Each are very charming in their own way. Kind of "Mini Annapolisisisisis" or is it "Annapoli"?

Any questions don't hesitate tro ask.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions.
I'm printing them off and will take them with me when I go.
