I'm way older than Sesame Street, so I didn't watch it growing up,
BUT, thank you so much for all the characters you brought us---Kermit, Elmo, Cookie Monster, etc.
and for letting JB be on the show!!!

Sesame Street is awesome. I was amazed the other day when my 2 year old was watching it with her brothers (6 & 8 ) and Elmo's World was on. (Elmo's World is a 10 min segment with, well, Elmo). There was a bit with "Mr. Noodle", who is this guy who does some rather silly physical humor. My kids were rolling in laughter and I thought to myself that any show that can entertain a 2, 6 and 8 year old (and can teach them things at the same time) is okay in my book.
One of the best skits I ever saw was with Robert Deniro and he was talking to Elmo about acting and how he just thinks about the role and pretends to be the character. He went on to be Elmo, a dog and a head of cabbage. The head of cabbage one struck me as so freakin' funny. If you google "robert de niro sesame street head of cabbage" you can probably find a you tube video of it.
I love the street.

I always thought the Count was kind of sexy.
And of course, my all-time favorite book...

That explains the Sesame Street characters incorporated into the 'Google' logo over the last couple of days.
