From A1AJake: I contacted some of Mellencamps group over the comments in a recent article. It seems that the guy who did the interview misqouted John. They assured me they were not happy with the results. Here is what I have from them. "John has mentioned in a few interviews that the sessions he did in the Keys had a light and airy sound that he likened to Buffett. I know that he didn't intend to it to sound mean to Jimmy. He just was saying that the music was more light and not in a style he was comfortable with. Best leave that kind of music to the guy who does it best.
