Probably just a hold-over from, or maybe a re-run of, these two doofuses (doofi?) whose chief contribution to music was the concept of wearing their clothes backwards.springparrot wrote:Is this a new craze??

I'm a tried and true matcher. Victoria, though, doesn't care. As long has she has two socks, it doesn't matter to her from where they came. Drives me crazy nuts, but she doesn't dress like a hooker, so I guess I am OK with it.

But to have stores that sell nothing but mismatched clothing??? A new one is opening in Downtown Disney.

Well...(said in my best Bubba voice) I've been on sabbatical.
Re: Mis-matched flip flops, socks, etc.
All they have to do is use the dryer I use. When folding I have either a single sock with no partner or a pair that don’t match.
My other problem is I leave for work early, pack my clothes in my gym bag. When I get to work my socks that were black at home are now blue. I am not sure how that happens either.

I have several pair of somewhat mis-matched socks. They are multi-colored/patterned socks - it's just that the colors are in a different sequence in each sock. They are so very comfortable. Made in the USA from recycled fabrics. I get lots of compliments on them - even when I wear them for business.

I used to date someone who deliberately wore mismatched socks all the time. She chose her socks with that in mind, so it all sort of worked out.

I have a pair of mittens that are made from recycled sweaters. They have coordinating but not matching fabrics. My husband always teases me about them. (I'm an artist...he is a engineer)

I'm more disturbed by them advertising "flip flop socks"........things that, in my opinion, are mutually exclusive.

Oh, but I have to have them. I haven't worn "real shoes" in years, pbans wrote:I'm more disturbed by them advertising "flip flop socks"........things that, in my opinion, are mutually exclusive.
and it can get kind of chilly without something besides just my flip-flops.
So people think I'm dorky. No biggie. They may be right.
