So,
Do you think it should preorder the cd from mailboat or buy it in stores the day it comes out? Mailboat says you should get it by dec.8 if you preorder. Does that mean i would get it dec.7th or would i get it really before the 8th? I dont think stores will sell out of the cds so i know i could get it there, but i would also prefer to just buy it directly from Jimmy

I've never had a problem with pre-ordering my Buffett cd's. In the interest of full disclosure, though, I've always pre-ordered from Amazon, not Mailboat. I've always gotten the cd no LATER than the date of release. Sometimes even a day early, if I remember right.

I ordered mine through Mailboat. I worry about Jimmy in this down economy, so I figured it would help him if I I bought the CD straight from him instead of Amazon or some other retailer . . . .

I would wait and buy it from a store because target or best buy usually give an extra cd or dvd. I know it was the case when I bought cds from other artists that should not be named on this site.

I will prob just download it via bit torrents.

Like a free jimmy cd or just some rap cd that nobody wants to hear??? I would definitly go for a free jimmy cd The torrents are always good but i usually dont like them cause jimmy wont get anything. I try to only use those when the stuff i want isnt on a cd or something

Really? Seriously? You are worried about Jimmy in this down economy? Is this fine and witty sarcasm or is there genuine concern here? The thought never crossed my mind nor will it ever. To steal a line from "A Lot To Drink About", I don't think the line "Welcome to the other side of life!" will ever apply to Jimmy. He has plenty of money and always will.

Heck, to the contrary, maybe if we don't buy the CD, he will be forced to tour longer! Now there is true Parrothead thinking!

Be careful out there, Parrotheads. This torrent leads you into a pretty common technique that draws people into creating an account and providing contact and credit card information. Many other examples of other false early album releases......

I don't think that any of us are really "worried" about Jimmy, but in this economy, and all the time, we just want to make sure he gets as much money as possibly. Usually I hate spending my money, but anything for Jimmy

Well, as I pondered the question, "Amazon or Mailboat?" Part of my decision was based on the fact that Jeff Bezos does have billions and Jimmy still only has millions and millions . . . and millions and millions and millions . . . .

You are safe, Larry. Bit torrents can't bite. The legal ramifications of what people download from bit torrents though can leave a nasty legal "bite". I've heard around here that, while probably not experiencing that bite first hand, you likely know those waters!

No, I don't think they have been there. I got that email too. I had never noticed the samples before and i've looked all over the site, so i doubt they've been there, but you never no. I decided to go with mailboat. Can't wait to get my copy of the cd

It's $7.99 pre order on Amazon. I'll use it for another order to qualify for free shipping.
