Windermere Mayor Gary Bruhn told CNN that local police arrived within two minutes of being notified. The golfer was taken to Health Central Hospital, where he was treated for facial lacerations and released, Bruhn said.

Ok, so it sounds like the FHP has a far different definition of "serious" condition than the medical community. Theirs is serious if it's anything beyond "minor medical attention"- so if he needed a stitch or two, or wanted his bad knee checked, or thought he might have cracked a rib, his condition would be described as "serious" by the officers on the scene.
