Anyone seen "The Blind Side"?

Post by East Texas Parrothead »

I needed to escape the madness at my mother-in-law's house yesterday, so a friend of mine and I went to see "The Blind Side."

It's been a long time since I've enjoyed a movie more.

The true story of how a rich, white Memphis family takes in a homeless boy from the projects made me feel warm all over. The story is more complicated than what I've described, but I don't want to ruin it for anyone.

Anybody else seen it? What did ya'll think?

I think I'm going to see it again.

I ABSOLUTLEY PHREAKIN' LOVED IT!!! Awesome job, from top to bottom. Since it was based on true story, and I already knew the ending, I was a little sceptical. But I needn't have been. Every single performer was top notch. I was really impressed by Tim McGraw. Sandra Bullock was outstanding, and better win some big awards! And that kid who played the youngest son? He was just nothing short of a force of nature!

I thought the SJ character was just soooo cute ...

I was disappointed with McGraw ... he could have been better, I thought.

Loved Kathy Bates.

Sandra Bullock knocked it outta the park, IMHO. I hope she gets a lot of praise for this one. From what I read, she really had the real Leigh Ann down pat. 8)

I was afraid it was going to be a tear jerker and it was but in a good way. Very much a feel good movie and I also love Sandra B. I thought McGraw was good also.

I saw an interview before the Pittsburgh vs Ravens game tonight with Michael O, it was interesting, he said the movie did have some 'artistic leeway, especially that he was a bit more 'aware' of football but it was pretty close.

There was also a bit with the Raven quarterback that said that Leigh Ann was spot on in that when he first met her, she told him that he needed to release the ball earlier.

Saw it Friday with my sister and daughters... we all really enjoyed it.

My 13 year old can't stop talking about how much she really, really liked it, and how it's her favorite movie ever. :D

I googled Oher and there are some factual differences between the movie and his life, but that's pretty much the case with any bio-flick.

There's an article in Sports Illustrated ... here's the link ...

Loved that movie. Just something to make you feel good. What a great film. Sandra Bullock should be nominated for an Academy Award. She was fabulous
