Darn!!!

I was hoping my pre-order would arrive early. Maybe I'll have a surprise when I get home tonight?

Picked up my copy at Best Buy in Palm Desert yesterday. Last time Circut City put out a new release early the caught it at the register, so I was supprised when I Best Buy did not catch it.

I got mine from the Best Buy in Coralville this morning when they opened their doors.
And it was ALREADY marked 10% off.
So I got Buffet Hotel for $11.99.

After taxes, I paid a total of $34.85. :-?

I have, occasionally, picked albums up early, and, other times, having read of stories hear, have tried and failed from stores that knew what they were doing. Stuff is shipped to the stores in advance of release dates, and stores are supposed to hold things in storage until the release date--given the quality of help at Best Buy (at least from my experience) they aren't always aware of this and just shelve things without checking.

You will find this also sometimes happens at bookstores-with blockbuster books you sometime read about some store screwing up and releasing a Harry Potter book early and the publisher coming after them for it.

Mailboat arrived in Buffalo today (literally - from Mailboat Records in the mail).

Sitting here on a Saturday afternoon listening and watching the snow outside - sounds GREAT Jimmy & CRB! :D

Thank you!!

Yeah, it was only on the new release rack.. because I missed it there at first and went to look under Jimmy Buffett - and it was no where to be found. Took a walk back to the new releases and saw the last couple of copies sitting there.

I've made it through the album 2 or 3 times now, and I like it. Really I just love that Jimmy is still giving us new material - keep it coming!!

I preordered through Mailboat records and got it yesterday. Love it so far. Hate paying the full price for it though.

Me too! I like most of it (certainly not all of it...Chill the Rose is a disaster). It is certainly much better than that "last album".

I agree, Chill the Rose is a disaster of a song - at least for my tastes. I like Nobody from Nowhere, Wings, Big Top, the title track... its certainly not going to be the crown jewel in Jimmy's catalog, but its still new tunes and means another tour :) I dont think we as fans can ask for or expect anymore than that.
