I'll usually take whatever is available.

Boobies.

Sometimes we sit at the bar for a quick bite or appetizers.

We prefer the booth, but will take whatever as long as it is not next to the kitchen door or the bathrooms.

My preference is a booth, but don't mind a table if with other people.

I usually find the best looking waitress in the place and ask which tables or booths are hers, then ask to sit there.

JUST KIDDING, DAMMIT!

I don't go out to eat that often. It's nice to be able to do it, but I don't enjoy having dinner with 300 other people.
However, when I do, I'll usually ask for a booth for the comfort and privacy. Especially if I'm on duty.
But if tables are all that's available, that's fine.

OK there's another interesting question. Do you go out to eat alone?

I do! Especially when I "follow" Tom to a meeting somewhere and he is tied up in meetings or company dinners all the time.

When he had a meeting in Hawaii, I loved going to Dukes at lunch. The hostess always sat me at the rail overlooking the beach so I would have that for entertainment  And it seemed like I got extra fast service too. I usually try to take a magazine, brochures or something to read in case I'm not overlooking Waikiki beach. :P

No.
The exception(s) being if I'm at work (which, in most cases, I'll bring in a lunch from home), or if I'm travelling for work.

NOW, if you ask me if I ever go to a BAR alone, that's an entirely different question.
:-?

I like whatever is available outside or nearest to the water. :D Or whatever is closest to the window or the view. Or the most casual part of the place, which is often the bar or booth.

Just went out and the choice was the high tables with barstools or short and I liked the tall because I could see out to the water; hubby liked the regular tables, so we did that. So, I guess it depends on how we both feel at the time.

Indecision may or may not be my problem...
