A little bit of baseball died for this kid today . . . .

Dave Niehaus, the legendary and beloved voice of the Mariners from their inception in 1977 through the final game of the 2010 season, died Wednesday at his home in Bellevue.

That'd be a shame because, IMO, Miller is one the great voices and storytellers in the game.
...but I can't say the same for Morgan's analyst skills.
I actually enjoyed both Miller and Morgan on SNB......too bad their run is over :(

sorry.. Morgan is an Idiot.. too many times I heard him say bad things about the Giant fans.. and you could tell He had no clue.

The Baseball Writers' Association of America named Halladay the National League Cy Young Award winner on Tuesday, making him the fifth pitcher to win a Cy Young in each league. Halladay, who won the 2003 American League Cy Young Award while pitching for the Blue Jays, joined Gaylord Perry, Pedro Martinez, Randy Johnson and Roger Clemens as a dual-league winner.

Twins manager Ron Gardenhire has been a perennial contender for the American League Manager of the Year honor since he took the helm of the club in 2002. And now, he's finally the winner of that prestigious award.

CINCINNATI -- Often reluctant to discuss his own personal accomplishments, Reds first baseman Joey Votto has done something that will speak volumes for him over the remainder of his career.

Votto was named the National League's Most Valuable Player on Monday.

A home town boy (Midland) is expected to be named next manager of the Mets. He graduated in my brother's class at Midland High. Woo hoo for Terry Collins. :D

The NY papers are saying it's a done deal, 2 year contract.

:D Thanks for the info....our paper had info that he was the top prospect, but didn't have the final word.
