Re: Frisco 2010
I'm trying to decide if I need a room or not. If I get a room I may need one that allows dogs. I may just make the drive back to West Ft Worth. AGGGGH I hate to have to be the decision maker

I can't find HI expresses cancellation policy. Last year we were at LaQuinta in Addison because of the dog. I may just book there. We got a poolside room that was really nice and they had a nice free breakfast. I just need to talk to my son, Becky and Lindasrkmrd wrote:Book a room that you can cancel.........that is what I did. The cancellation policy for Holiday Inn Express is up until 18:00 the day before. I just cancelled my reservation for April 24th (okay, so I kept hoping)ph4ever wrote:I can't find HI expresses cancellation policy. Last year we were at LaQuinta in Addison because of the dog. This is the policy for the rate I booked. I think they also have a prepay and of course that would be different.
Canceling your reservation before 6:00 PM (local hotel time) on Thursday, 20 May, 2010 will result in no charge. Canceling your reservation after 6:00 PM (local hotel time) on 20 May, 2010, or failing to show, will result in a charge equal to the first night's stay per room to your credit card. Taxes may apply. Failing to call or show before check-out time after the first night of a reservation will result in cancellation of the remainder of your reservation.

Cool - thanks!!! Now if I can get my son to decide on the dog status. I would really like to bring him with us to the tailgate since I'm not going to the show. He's a Jack Russell and I think he'd look awesome with a lei and shades, or maybe a little fin strapped to his back!!VanillaGrl wrote:The cancellation policy for Holiday Inn Express is up until 18:00 the day before. Where would be a convenient/good place to stay for an out-of-towner if they decided to make this roadtrip?

If I am able to get some 'things' rearranged in May, I'll be there. And I'm not going to the show either, but will probably load my cooler on the 4-wheeler and drive it a little closer and have my own show outside the venue.

I believe the link above will take you to last years thread and there is a list of hotels, I think it is about halfway down the first page.
The Comfort Suites is right at the park but is probably booked, a lot of people book the Holiday Inn Express, and there are several others close.

Re: Frisco 2010
Suggestion for the car rental, pay the extra and get the tolltag. You've got TONS of toll plazas between DFW and Frisco. Okay maybe not tons but it's a heck of a lot easier to have the tolltag vs keeping a bunch of change because some of the toll plazas can sometimes not be manned.srkmrd wrote:viewtopic.php?f=40&t=74821Dr.Corona wrote:Where would be a convenient/good place to stay for an out-of-towner if they decided to make this roadtrip?

Re: Frisco 2010
We took our two terriers (a Cairn and a Westie) to FFF last year and had a blast. I made parrot scarves for them to wear around their necks. I remember seeing two beautiful Great Pyrnees (large, white dogs) last year with shark fins. They were so cute with the shark fins. I think it could be easily done, I just couldn't figure out how to keep the fin on our dog's backs and not under their belly. My husband can't make it this year since he will be at sea, so I'm not bringing the furry girls. I look forward to seeing your little rascal in parrothead gear!ph4ever wrote:Cool - thanks!!! I remember those Great Pyrnees and they were awesome!!! It's my son's dog so he might not let me take him or dress him up. I wanted to take him last year but my son was worried about him while we went into the show. I'm not going in this year so hopefully he'll let me take him.

Our two girls were so pooped out from running around the tailgate (although we tried to pace them) that they slept soundly in the RV while we were at the concert. They had so much fun meeting everyone. I'm pretty sure that I have a photo of the Great Pyrnees from last year. I'll look through my photos and if I can find it, then I'll send it to you.ph4ever wrote:I remember those Great Pyrnees and they were awesome!!! We were under the island name of TulsaParrotheads last year. Since someone else had a name that was very similar, we decided to come up with new ones. Oh, we had a lot of fun with that task! So, I am Phreckled Phruitcake and Tony is Cosmic Shipwreck. I'm sure that you saw our girls at FFF last year. I remember meeting you at FFF3.ph4ever wrote:Thanks!!!
