2/20/10 Jacksonville, FL--Jax Veteran's Memorial
After all this miserably cold weather, this was just the medicine I needed. We will be in Jax on 2/20 and look forward to seeing all of you there.
I just booked the Crowne Plaza (just a short water taxi ride across the river from the arena) on Hotwire for for roughly $65/night with everything included. That is a steal. if you book quickly, it is the 3.5 star listed for $56/night. Go get it PH's.

Can you tell me a little about this venue? I am trying to decide between Jacksonville and Columbia(been to Columbia before and had a blast) I like to try different places every year and Jacksonville is only a two hour drive.
Thanks!
Thanks!

This venue seems a little more intimate than some other coliseum/arena type venues. It was built about 4-5 years ago, so still relatively new. It is located in the sports complex close to the Jacksonville Jaguars stadium and is right on the river in downtown. Good location for sure.

Kind of early , but any tailgate type events happening before the show? I haven't been to a concert there yet, but hope to make one if the Feb shows.

I thought about this one, but its a no. If it was a Tuesday show I would do the Florida trifecta. But on the bright side, I still get to see two shows!!

I'll be there for sure.
Considering it's the site of the "Worlds Largest Cocktail Party" the tailgating should be good.
I heard that the tailgating was good when Jimmy was here a few years back.

From their site below, I am assuming that means that the massive lots at the football stadium will be open. If so, it should be a fantastic tailgate. Now let's hope for good weather. It can still be a little dicey that time of year.
Jacksonville Municipal Stadium, Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena, and the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville share 6,604 on-site parking spaces, plus 100 handicap spaces. There is also additional parking within walking distance. Parking prices may vary. In addition, there are designated areas for bus and truck parking to enable easy pick-ups and access to highways.

First timer question.
Does Jimmy do any meet & greet sessions before or after the show? I am taking my dad to the show and he would really enjoy meeting him.
thanks, evan

Wouldn't we all! Unfortunately, it's a lucky few who get to do so- even with a VIP pass several years ago I *just* got to meet the Reefers.memoryedit wrote:First timer question.

Any info on ticket prices yet? No listing on Ticketmaster. LiveNation lists the venues and dates but no prices. And all the venue ticket links say "ticket prices TBA".
