For you guitar players out there, or for any of you who are just collectors of all things Jimmy Buffett, Martin just introduced an affordable, limited edition Jimmy Buffett guitar. It is an LX model, which equates to "Little Martin", meaning it is small and portable. It is contructed of Martin's High Pressure Laminate (HPL). The best thing about it is that it is affordable to the average human. List price is $649, which probably translates to $300-$400 street price. They are limited run of only 300. Here is the link to Martin's website and a picture of the guitar itself:

I am sure Guitar Center will have a few here and there, but if you truly wanted one, you could ask any authorized Martin dealer to order you one. The guys I deal with that give the best price generally are:
Ordered mine today. I will complete the Jimmy Buffett Martin line-up with this one.
Just curious, where did you guys order yours from?
Gunthermoose, did you ever see the interior label on my Pollywog? Jimmy must have been slap happy when he was signing it. It says "Just Add An Ocean Play Well" signed Jimmy Buffett.

I love that inscription!! -"BB"-

He is more competitive with his prices than pretty much anyone out there and offers top notch customer service. He is the "go-to" guy for most Martin players. Martin has a MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) policy which limtis the price a vendor can advertise their product for, which is what GC/MF/Music 123 sell at. To get a better price, just contact him either by phone or email. He is very fair.

Upon the recommendation of the quoted post, I e-mailed Jon and all I can say is that I now have a guitar reserved. He has two left, so you need to hurry. His price is very reasonable and he treated me great. Before you buy one elsewhere, give him a call, I don't think you will be disappointed. While I know this sounds like an advertisement, it is not, I just met the man, but given the way this transaction went, I wanted to let you know that I strongly second HD18JBGuy's recommendation.
The next time you get mad, ask yourself the following question. Will it will matter a year from now?
If it won't, breathe in, breathe out and move on. Life is short, remember to have fun along the way.

Good stuff. I am glad it worked out for you. I will also say that I have no affiliation with the store or with Jon, however, he came highly recommended to me by many, many people a few years back.
GM Jr., Jon at MFG is located in Florida as well. Give him a shout first if you are considering one.
Just hung-up with Jon. Seems like a better plan. Can't place an order until I get home, no plastic with me. Hope he's not sold out by that time.
As always, G.M.,Jr.
