Fred had the first turn. When he came to breakfast the next morning his eyes were bloodshot and it looked like he hadn't slept a wink. When the other guys asked for an explanation, Fred said that Bob had snored so loudly that he couldn't sleep, so he sat up in a chair and watched Bob sleeping.
That next night was Harry's turn. The next morning, when Harry came in for breakfast, he looked just as bad as Fred had. He too said that Bob's snoring had kept him awake, and he had spent the entire night sitting up in a chair watching Bob sleep.
The third night was Charlie's turn. Now Charlie was a big, older woodsman, a man's man, and he had been to a deer camp or two in his day. The next morning, when he came in for breakfast, he had a smile on his face, a spring in his step, and looked well rested. Bob, on the other hand, looked like hell.
The guys couldn't believe it. They all asked Charlie what had happened. Charlie said, "Well, Bob and I got ready for bed. Bob got into his bunk, and I came over and tucked him in, patted him on the butt, kissed him, and wished him a good night. Then I went over and got into my bunk. Bob got out of his bunk, sat in the chair, and watched *ME* all night."
