Eric Clapton/ RogerDaltrey
They're doing a short tour together starting in Feb. Anyone else going to see them?
It will be my second time to see Clapton and my first to see Daltrey. Looking forward to it....should be a good show.

I have, and will travel many miles to see Clapton
..but if ol' codger Daltrey tries to sing along, I'll have to turn around and travel on back home

Re: Eric Clapton/ RogerDaltrey
Seen Clapton several times. Always a quality show.
Caught Daltrey at the House of Blues last fall. I was pleasantly surprised. It had the feeling of a VH1 Storytellers episode. He spent a good amount of time talking about the origins of the songs and where he was in his career when they were written. His voice was in fine form on the night I saw him...but I heard there were some nights when he was quite raspy.
Most people are saying that he is doing all the solo shows to help keep his voice in shape for a possible Who tour this year.

Being an "old timer," I've seen Eric Clapton in nearly all of his stages . . . Cream, Blind Faith, Delaney and Bonnie, Derek and The Dominos, plugged, unplugged, etc. (missed the Yardbirds and John Mayall/Bluesbreakers stages ....) He always puts on a fantastic show. At one concert (early 70s?) Santana was the opening group . . . the encore with Eric and Carlos playing together . . WOW!
I haven't seen Daltry in about 40 years, but he had a solo gig here in Seattle last October and it got pretty good reviews.
I can't find anything about any Seattle shows but I found something about some Eric Clapton / Jeff Beck shows next month. 02/18 and 02/19 in NYC (MSG), 02/21 in Toronto, and 02/22 in Montreal. Now that would be a show!

The Clapton/Daltrey shows start here in Pittsburgh on 2/25/10. Got pretty decent seats, so we're looking forward to it.

Thanks!! Everything but what I looked at! Re: Eric Clapton/ RogerDaltrey
Seen him many times. Got tickets to his show @ BankAtlantic Center a while ago. Then lo & behold Jimmy announces a show there. Actually, Jimmy's gig is a happening. Scored (4) for that as well. Saw Eric there a couple of years ago. He was supposed to be with Billy Preston, but Billy got really sick and and had to pull out at the last minute. Shortly after that he passed away.Very sad, fond of Billy from back in his Beatle days. Anyhow, I hope Daltry opens for him, and doesn't take away from the Clapton ''magic''. As always, G.M.,Jr.
