I don't know the answer, but I'll be watching this thread to see what is recommended.
We're going to Orlando in March, and maybe it would make No Parrot happier about having to
go to Disney with the grandkids if he had some good seafood to look forward to!
When will you be there?

We don't have a choice of timing: daughter is a high school teacher, so March Break is the only time she & the kids can get away (except summer, but summer here is too nice to waste on Florida). I know it will be busy, with all the other snowbirds.dnw wrote:Snowparrot wrote:I don't know the answer, but I'll be watching this thread to see what is recommended.

If No Parrot is going to Disney in March with grand kids, he certainly should have a great seafood dinner every night!

The Coral Reef Restaurant, in Animal Kingdom?
I had a whole roasted piranha there. I thought they were supposed to be small. It was immense. A little pricey tho' (esp. the "cover charge")

I liked the Bahama Breeze in Orlando. It's not necessarily seafood, but Floribbean, and I miss not having them in Texas anymore.

Emeril's Restaurant at CityWalk in Orlando is definitely one of the best.
They are not a "seafood" restaurant but there is plenty of delicious seafood on the menu.
Don't forget to make reservations! It is a little pricey but very much worth the visit! Enjoy!

Check out Emeril's Tchoup Chop, I've always had a good time there. It's in the Loews Royal Pacific Resort, you can get to it via the boats in Citywalk. Prices are a little high.marksberyj wrote:preferably close to Citywalk? Thanks for the help!
Dollar for dollar, bahama breeze is one of my favorites and is on I-drive near the citywalk area.
If you're willing to drive a little to the east coast and want some "old florida" charm that's low frills, head to Cocoa Beach and go to Florida Seafood.

If you are out near the west side of Disney there is a very good Cuban restaurant at Celebration called Columbia. They have locations throughout Florida.
I can't say I have had their seafood when I was there. But everything that I have had has been excellent.
Do make sure to have their 1905 salad. It is very good.
Their signature desert, Brazo Gitano "Cien Años", is also worth saving room for.
Check their menu and see if anything looks interesting.

We did eat at Angel's All You Can Eat Lobster once. I was not too impressed. I would rather have a good meal with a reasonable portion than to have the buffet with just marginally good food. The price seemed a little high for the quality of food that you received. But of course the quantity was huge.
