Thanks, Dave. But I don't believe them for a second. The venue just doesn't want to pay the police and is now putting the blame on them. If it were really a matter of public safety they'd open at 3:00 on Saturday, too.

Hi Dave,
The decision was made by the Mansfield Police. The decision is one of public safety.

Hi Dianne
I was considering signing up for premium seating, but with your new policies regarding opening of the parking lots late, It seems we may miss some of the concerts as we will be still in line trying to park our cars.

I'm guessing premium seating does not allow you to get into the parking lots any earlier than the "regular" folks.

It doesn't sound like much thought was put into the parking lot situation.
I assume it was purely a financial decision.

May have to rethink my attending Comcast Center shows if this becomes the norm.

Regards
Dave
Hmmm, I wonder if Diane would like several dozen "I CALL BS" emails?
In a NICE way of course letting her know that we know her explanation is garbage.

I was already planning a letter when I got home this evening, asking why the Comcast Center was lying to it's patrons.

Gee, I would think that trying to get 19,000 people into GW in the span of 5 hours is a bigger safety issue than trying to get the same people into GW in the span of 10 hours.

Yeah, the cops will be THRILLED when they're trying to push all of us into the lot and dealing with people trying to get home. KNOWING that they could have had us going in gradually all day.

Well, I'm basically a little nervous or confused and hopeful that it will all work out.

I have my plane ticket, and arrive in Boston early afternoon.
There are trains to Mansfield, and I'll get a taxi from the station, I suppose, or hitchhike with PHs the way I did at Tinley Park once.
I have purchased a concert ticket, but it won't arrive until a day or so before I leave: luckily I'm not leaving until the day of the concert THIS time!
I will be dressed for sunshine and tailgating, and bringing a folding chair (or a walker or wheelchair... who knows?) but will be looking for non-alcoholic drinks, as I'm in a non-drinking phase this summer.
I haven't yet dealt with Chris's reservation for the Comfort Inn, because Tommy B wanted part of it.... [smilie=huh-ani.gif] [smilie=huh-ani.gif].
I guess it'll be a taxi ride or hitchhike to the inn: hey, anyone need a designated driver?
On Sunday, if my feet are able, I'll do some Boston sightseeing and then crash at my husband's cousin's daughter's home...if she ever answers my Facebook message again. Monday morning, airplane home.

Does anybody know if GreatWoods sold out for the premire parking tickets for Saturday?
I saw nothing on Tic Master & Live Nation.

Don't know if it's sold out but pgr is selling a VIP parking pass on page 4 of the GW ticket exchange thread. [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]

I just looked at the site. I only saw the VIP parking option when I searched for tickets for Thursday show. When it showed what tickets were still available, the various VIP options were at the bottom. Since there aren't tickets for Sat. I couldn't get that far.

Do you know if there is a separate exit after the show for the VIP parking as well?
