adding my two cents about PHCs in general — never had a good experience, cliquey, negative and everyone trying to p*** in a circle over who is the bigger buffett fan.

we're pretty big fans, and will go to a club event wherever we are when the music is good, but won't join to support an organization where no one has ever - not once - spoken to us. And we're not unfriendly people! Go to meeting of the minds, but stopped actually paying (instead just going to bars for music) because we've had so many bad experiences.

Man, what a drag. The majority of us go to these concerts to get away from the politics and BS of everyday life. The Virtual Parrothead Club (VPHC) is pleased to announce a Tampa phlocking at the Tampa Buffett Tailgate April 24, 2010 (See map for location of where we will all be parking our vehicles). A few of our musically talented friends may be joining us as well- like Troy Allan, John Patti and Kelly McGuire – we may be able to convince them to bring their guitars if we know in advance how many of you all will be in and around our area. JD Spradlin let us know that he has the day off from Radio Margaritaville and is looking for some fun peeps to hang with too. So if you’re attending the concert and looking for a place to set up your beach chair – please join us!

There is NO CHARGE for the tailgating; however, if you are so inclined to make a donation to the VPHC to further the great works of the club, it certainly will not be declined – net proceeds of any donations received will be used for the Carnival of Life – Troy Allan Benefit. Donations can be made via paypal using phaw16@gmail.com as the email addy. Being a virtual club, it’s pretty hard to have regular phlockings like most “traditional” clubs, but like the other clubs, our goals are the same – TO PARTY WITH A PURPOSE! We are also an officially sanctioned PHIP club and you can visit us at www.vphc.com.
