Great thing about Indiana, if you don't like the current weather, just wait five minutes and it will change. Just hope for the best.Summerlover wrote:Not liking the forecast for next Sat. let alone for all this week!! I reaaalllly hope it doesn't rain. The lots officially open at 2pm but I have been at noon for the last couple of years and have had no trouble getting in. I also have not been the first person there. LOL
Charcoal grills? There is no open flame allowed in the lot. Not saying that it can't be donebut if they see it, they will ask you to put it out.
We are making our list for Sleepybear for Sat. Tent camping for us. It does look like the weather will change by Sat.dlewis717 wrote:Be there Saturday around noon!!! We're still planning on Sleepybear with our camper. I hope the weather holds out for us. Fins up!!!

Starting to get worried reading about the parking lot nazis and no grills or first-ups in the lot ? Please Help.We read Sleepy Bear is full but is there anywhere else we can setup at close by? Thanks & PHINSUP!!!!!

Parrothead Jacob posted grilling open flame is ok. I saw grills 2 years ago and the parking lot opens early. Where is your info coming from? Security was no issue when we were there 2 years ago.
I wouldn't worry about it. Now the weather looks great. Let's just get this rain over with.
Ms not sure what to say. Just basing my info on previous years. The DD has been discussed here...but like you say, it shouldn't be an issue anyway. I do not know of any gathering of BNer's but had thought about that this morning. We should get a list of those of us going.MsOver40Pirate wrote:Some of the info came straight from the IPHC....and the venue itself. Called them and was told "no charcoal grills or first-ups will be allowed in the lot"....also got a warning that "Noblesville's finest" will be lying in wait to make sure that all vehicles have a DD, which is never a problem since we always do....![]()
.... hopefully the info we have is wrong, since we like yours much better..!! Is there any particular place that the BN'ers are gathering in the lot or at Sleepy Bear..??
Looking forward to putting faces with names....PHINS UP!!!!Summerlover wrote:MsOver40Pirate wrote:Can also use some help there are 11 of us coming down from the YPHC our first time to Indy. we are used to the Pittsburgh ,Detroit & Cincy tailgates where just about anything goes. I think we are going to look for those huge landshark baggo or corn hole boards!!
Boardkicker, we are staying at Sleepybear and our large group just consists of my Jimmy and myself. This tailgate will be a quieter for us. We are sure we will wander over to the circus lot and see what everyone is up to there. Our big bash will be Chicago.....we couldn't wait till Aug.boardkicker1015 wrote:Im new to chicago and saw Jimmy's in Indy this weekend and its only a three hour drive. Are there any big parrot head groups tailigating or what not. Seeing i dont kno many people i was hoping some group would be willing to take in a single person for the day. I'm willing to pitch in of course.
Also I will need a single ticket.
