Checking in here.. GREAT show, and it was fantastic to see all of you again!
Too many people to list, but thanks to everyone for the good times and supporting my balls. ;)

I swear I'd do this once a month if I could afford it!

Also, as a side note I need to borrow SP's "golden cane award" so that I may shake it and yell this: It bloody sucks that I can't view any of these pics. Freakin work blocking facebook and what-not...

Show was great as usual, but we got stuck next to the parking lot plinko game. Pretty much ruined the tailgate for those near. It was fun at first, but after 8 hours of people yelling "show us your ****", it gets old. Kind of tainted the whole experience of my 59th show. Then Hot Hot Hot came on and I forgot all about it for 2.5 hours.

Yeah, maybe it's just my age, but some of the parking lot "games" are wearing a bit thin with me, too.......

I'm more into meeting friends, new and old, sharing stories and few brews, then enjoying the concert without someone vomiting on my shoes......

I can't explain how it happened, but I didn't get to partake of the smokin' ballz this year. :o I guess that means I'll have to go back next year.

What a great weekend! Thanks to everyone for the hospitality. Congratulations to Landshark girl for making the big screen. Congratulations to Surfpirate on the theory of Drunkativity Equation making Mac's intro. Really cool!! Bet you won't miss another Mac show!

Funkhouse sorry you didn't get NW :( At least the Marine was nice to you

It was nice to put many faces with board names and real names. It was also nice to see former members of BN at the tailgate too.

Only downside of the whole weekend was one of Prince William County's police department deciding I should have a ticket for drinking in public. 3 hours in the great state of Virginia and I get a ticket for alcohol at a Buffett tailgate. Go figure

Saturday's experience was an impressive show for me for the amount of *end of the summer* spontaneity and goofiness that took place on stage, particularly between Mac and Jimmy.
Mac was in rare form and Jimmy was laughing and enjoying himself on stage perhaps as much as I have ever seen in my nearly 100 shows.

To wit ....

1. Jimmy's comments when he was alone on stage and about to sing Brahma Fear

JIMMY: "This is the original Coral Reefer Band ..... but, I like to do this every now and then, a few little Key West songs from the old days, huh?."

2. After Brahma Fear ...... Mac accidentally coming on stage too soon, thinking it was time to do It's My Job with Jimmy,
which had Jimmy say ....

JIMMY: "You can stay out ..... awww, c'mon Mac, you can come to the party"
and then saying to the crowd
"Can Mac join our party?"

3. Which led to a slightly uncomfortable Mac playing with Jimmy on Why Don't We Get Drunk And Screw?, with Jimmy commenting ....

JIMMY: "Ladies and gentlemen! The CMA musician of the year! What a song to show off your talent on."

4. Afterwards this totally threw off Mac's standard introduction to It's My Job, because on this night it became ......

JIMMY: "Alright! Since we got Mac out here ..... I'm the biggest Mac McAnally songwriting fan out there too, so uh......"
(to Mac) " ... I've talked enough .... you can, you can do your normal introduction to this song ....."
MAC: "You know, these songs were originally a matched pair .... they were bookends."
MAC: "Well, you know after you get finished drinking and screwing, sometimes you want to take pride in what you do for a living ..." (laughing hysterically)
JIMMY (totally cracking up): "Wait .... I wanna make sure y'all heard that okay .... you see Mac has this alter ego known called Johnny Springbreak .... I think he just came out ... he said ..... after you get done drinkin' and screwin' you like to take pride in what you do for a living ...." (laughing hysterically)
MAC: "Those are all good feelings, all good feelings ...."
JIMMY (tears of laughter and falling away from the microphone): "That's all there is in life! ...... drinkin' and screwin' and havin' fun at work ....."
MAC: "It's My Job"

And of course, for me personally ....

5. Mac expanding on the THEORY OF DRUNKATIVITY by quoting the button that I made and gave him to him the night before ....

JIMMY: "We mentioned this theory the other night and now I think we got it verified ....."
MAC: "I learned last night that they've expanded on my theory and we now have E=js² which is Exhibitionism equals jello shots squared...."

OK folks, i have had time to let saturdays show sink in, and I have to go out on a limb here and say that Saturday night in Bristow was the best show Jimmy did this year. I thought the gulf coast show was great, but there was something magical in the air on Saturday. i agree with everything that surfpirate commented on above.

I still have to rank the Gulf show slightly ahead of this show. The Gulf show was really special.

I would say the Saturday show was tied with the Toyota Park show for the 2nd best of this year. Jimmy really enjoyed having the Stanley cup at that show. Both shows are keepers and worth the download. Thanks to SunLover I got to relive the magic today. The only thing Toyota Park was missing this year was a Mac show the night before. The Falls Church show was the best Mac show I have been to. I'd come back to Virginia to see the Rockers perform again.

I'd appreciate a pm on how to download the show---I'm REALLY feeling missing that show due to my amateur drinking!
