Just so you know ... there was someone walking around wearing a CRITTER"POLE"OOZA lanyard ID tag
that had the name DUTCH HARBOR PH on it ....... cause .... you know (I made one).

When you didn't show I gave it away to a pretty buxom blonde who really wanted a laminated badge.

ME too....I was primed and pumped..... Oh well.....I hope said Buxom Blonde was pleased and jumped up and down a lot for you...... WHile I would have been pleased, I don't think anybody would have wanted to see me jump up and down..........

Another great tailgate and show. Brother Frank and I got home about 2:45 this morning. Yep after all
that partying we just drove straight on home. We were pretty much wide awake and pumped up due
to a little incident inside on the lawn. Less than halfway thru the show some gal on a blanket started
screaming. Next thing we know she and some tall young guy were accusing Frank of peeing on their
blanket. It wasn't true of course. People had been walking by with large draft beers all the while and
it looked like someone might have splashed a little on their blanket. We had nothing with us and had
nothing to do with it. Anyway this guy gets in Frank's face and says, "You can just get out of here or
you're gonna get punched." Then he starts counting off with his fingers. I tell him, "You touch my
brother, I'm kicking your f*****g ass." He goes, "I'd like to see you try." I said, "Oh you're going to
see it alright." Then he finishes counting to 5 and doesn't do anything. Another gal who was with them
apologizes to us and asks us to just de-fuze the situation. So we just back away a few feet.
Next thing I know the punk kid has gone for security. A couple guys in yellow shirts and three cops
show up and ask us to come with them to the back of the lawn. I explain to them we didn't do
anything but they just wanted us to move away from the crybaby. We wound up in a better area
with a better view but we were still pretty steamed. Spent the rest of the show talking each other
out of going back over there and slapping that fool around. Other than that it was a great time.

Talked with my friends last night after the show....They couldn't say enough nice things about what a great time they had, and the whole tailgating experience and how wonderful BNers are!

I do believe the word "munchkin" came up when I was mentioned.. Or so I was told...

Can't wait to see pictures, and thank you all from the bottom of my heart for welcoming my "peeps" and showing them how it's done...and offering your friendship....(I did ask them if they showed up with marshmellows all over them....since they were my peeps.. )

Eileen? I have been told, once again , that you and I HAVE to meet...and it will happen....

Loved the story about the exit sign saying "Fins to the Left" for where to get off the highway...Too funny!

Well, THAT was quite an experience!
(AND then this morning the powere went out at our hotel while I was in the shower. Then two fire trucks come rolling up in the lot. But then they left immediately. They were just there to make me throw my stuff together REALLY FAST and get the heck out of there.

Turned out to be a great day! The rv lot opend a little after 11, but they stuck us down in D2. One of the first ones in there w/Jane Spain & crew were right behind us. As we pulled in, we were directed to left & parked right along the dirt road w/a hill behind us. Really thought we had a lame spot. Would've prefered to be in the old rv lot closer to the venue. But it turned out to be great party spot. The lot filled in & everyone was i na great party mood & had great neighbors all around us. Nick Sr. had Radio Key Spain on & had people dancing in the street! Our display turned in a Kodak moment again, loads of peeps took advantage of the "beach". Never did get out our area to try to find everyone else. All the other lots seemed totally disorganized. Where did everyone wind up?
All in all, a great day. Here's to the next party!

All: so we didn't get the parking lot location we wanted. Let's remember what's important here (in my best Andy Taylor voice-ha ha!): we were all together. Phor many of us, it's the only time we'll see others in person for a whole year. We had food, liquor, entertainment, and EACH OTHER. Critterville Cove, not unlike Margaritaville itself, is less a physical location on a map and more a state of mind.
I expect to have my pictures up on FB by this time tomorrow, and of course I'll post a linky thingy. Before I post them though, I'm gonna have to explain one to the boy's mama.

I apparently missed most, if not all, of the drama. The one nice thing about the lot was that packing up was a breeze!!!!

I know I mentioned it to a bunch of people yesterday, but what do you think about trying to set up a BN bus next year??? We have a pretty good core group that shows up every year, and I think we could fill one. (and start drinking on the way in!!!!! lol)

The parking kids did put the rv/buses farther way from the venue this year than past. But we had plenty of room to set up and grass under our feet. I first thought we were in a lame spot but the place was jumping. We also got in a little after 11:00. The earlier the better, I say!
