Well, the Hilton Nashville Downtown is kinda across the street from the Sommet Center.
The Renaissance Nashville is a block or so away.
The Hampton Inn & Suites Downtown is a few blocks away.
The Hermitage (!EXPENSIVE!) is a few blocks away (I'm betting that's where Jimmy stays)
The Holiday Inn Express is a few blocks away.
Downtown Nashville is FUN !!
Just thought I'd bring this from the old thread...

Should be able to make this one.

I'll be there with Bob Roberts, seasinmyveins, IStoleThePeanutButter, and a few more probably. We're staying on the main strip downtown and we're hoping for a good place to tailgate. 8)

I am tryin to find out who to contact in the metro PD to see if they are going to allow you to tailgate. And also the sommet center to see when their lots will open and if they will allow tailgating. For a saturday show we MUST tailgate.

The Sommet Center only has their covered parking garage. Several of the parking lots were recently closed in conjunction with the demolition of several buildings to make way for a new convention center, making tailgating areas a little more scarce. Nearly everything else down here is owned by Central Parking. Those lots are always open, it's just a matter of whether or not they'll allow tailgating. I've seen them turn a blind eye at Kenny Chesney concerts in years past, but the concerts were always held at the stadium and the majority of the tailgating happened in the lots near LP Field. I want to do a little recon in the next week or so and see if I can find a privately owned parking lot (or at least find out what Central Parking's stance on tailgating is going to be). There are several smaller lots within a couple of blocks of the Sommet as well as lower Broadway where a large group might be able to set up shop if provisions were made and the space was secured early in the day.

I know I'm new to this board (although not to the Parrothead world in general), but I'm happy to help make arrangements. I'm thrilled to have a party in my backyard for once.

There is also a Courtyard Marriott downtown as well as the new Hotel Indigo. Just a few more ideas for you guys.
I knew this girl made of memories and phrases, who lived her whole life in both chapters and stages.
Danced 'til the dawn, wished all her worries away.

She's a long way from a West Nashville grand ballroom gown.

Welcome aboard! Always good to add to the phlock. Was actually wondering if the titans would let a tailgate go on at their lot next to the pedestrian bridge. That is the PERFECT spot. Plenty of room, sunshine(we hope) and a good short stroll to the sommet.
