Nashville May 1 Pre-concert Party - SOLD OUT

Big thanks to all who bought tickets. Travel safely to Nashville and I hope to meet you at the party.
Maybe (if there is a concert next year) we can have a real place to tailgate or at least have our party at the Margaritaville - if they can figure out how to get their windows approved.

Round of applause to Mike for all of your efforts on putting together a great event, and for all that you've done in keeping BuffettNews informed on the concert weekend happenings, as well as other pertinent area info for while we're there.

As merely a guest taking advantage of all of your efforts, I truly appreciate all of your hard work! Well done, and THANK YOU! :D [smilie=happydance.gif] [smilie=superkewl.gif]

I'm just the internet geek and board member.
(and wait 'till it's over before we get too thrilled  )

The pholks who deserve credit are Prez Kat (email by the bucket load, ticket orders, mailing, etc), our Treas Jim (going to post office, collecting and counting the beans and taking them to the bank, etc), board members Marcia, Steve and Tina (meetings, planning, organizing, etc).

Phins Up party people :D

ps, The Margaritaville Nashville design (including the windows) is being recommended for approval by Nashville Metro staff in a recent report. The meeting to vote on it is Apr 21.

We may get to open the windows there after all.

Hey, Mike...that picture in your sig line...I was there !!! That was a fun night. Especially since one of the guys with us was very rich and he bought everybody tequila shots and whatever they wanted to drink. The Best Western, where we stayed, took us down there and back in an empty panel van. TWELVE people rolling around in the van after that Beer Sellar night. My jaws hurt from so much laughing.

UH ! I just went to the Beer Sellar website and it says it's CLOSED FOR RENOVATION!!!!

NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What's up with that ? What a horrible time to be closed. Let's hope it's up and running in two weeks.

I think several businesses on that corner including the Hooters above the Beer Sellar are renovating and not expecting to open until next month.

Those Tall Paul gigs at the Beer Sellar were great fun. If I remember correctly the nite y'all were there your club (like ours) was pretty new. I think there was also a bachelorette party of about 20 young ladies there that nite too. Paul used to perform a lot more in middle TN than he does now. Hopefully Paul/Ramajay Intercoastal (and also A1A, Livingston, Middlebrook, Boat Drunks, etc, etc, etc) will begin doing some more gigs here when the Margaritaville opens.

Dammit all. Well if anyone cancels out (or can figure out how to smuggle 3 more in) let me know.
Thanks.

Thanks

I had an idea about the phone/email list for the Nashville concert weekend. I created a mobile version of our club's web page (condensed for browsing with mobile phones) and thought about collecting and posting names/forum nicks/tele#/email on a separate phone list page. Here is a link to what I have in mind:
http://m.mcphins.com/phonelist.html (LINK EDITED - xhtml changed to html, update your bookmark if you bookmarked it in your phone)
http://m.mcphins.com/ will also get you there.

You can visit that page with a desktop browser or a phone based browser. I know some pholks would not want their name/email/tele# published on a public page but others are OK with it. My plan was to keep the page offline until a couple of days before the event and then take it down a day after the event.

Ideas, opinions, etc?

ps, Also - Let me know if your phone browser has any problems viewing the mobile site pages. I have only tested it with my Blackberry.

Sounds good to me. And peeps don't have to give their last names if they don't want. Heck they can provide only screen names if they want. :D

Phone list plan

OK - several pholks have PM'd me liking my phone list idea. If someone wants to do a private message version that is not posted online that is OK too but the version I'm doing will be publicly visible at:
http://m.mcphins.com/phonelist.html (LINK EDITED - xhtml changed to html, update your bookmark if you bookmarked it in your phone)
If that page begins to get too large to easily download via cell phone I'll create pages alphabetically and link to them from the main phonelist page. I will upload the phonelist page sometime April 29 and take it down sometime May 2.

Here's the plan for my version:
Send a private message to me (phmike42) and include only what you want me to post on the link above. You can send me a copy of your forum avatar (small jpg or gif only, animated gif OK) if you want it displayed with your info. To make it easy on me (I'm lazy) submit it to me like this example and I can just copy/paste. I will not be responsible for errors because I will be copy/pasting the info - send it wrong and it is posted wrong.

buffettnews forum user name
real name
cell phone #
email address

phmike42
Mike
123-456-7890
email@domain.com

Bookmark the link above in your cell phone and you can have a searchable list of pholks in your pocket while you are in Nashville. You can also visit the link with a desktop/laptop computer and/or print it to paper to keep in your purse or pocket.

I think one of the parking lots at LP Field is going to be open and running shuttle buses to the Firestone Arena. I also have discovered the answer to the long asked question, Where ya gonna go when the volcano blows? The answer, NOWHERE if you are in Europe, and it is driving my travel agent hubby insane. He may shoot six holes in his computer. :D

Bridgestone - it's the other tire.
I talked to somebody at LP Field management 2 weeks ago about this. (I forget their name, I was transferred to them when I told the Titan's telephone operator what I wanted.)
Lot R opens 2 hours before Bridgestone events - that would be 6PM for an 8PM concert but they may fudge a bit. He also said tailgating in lot R was not allowed except during Titan's football games. I have heard that the shuttle ride costs $3.
