When are we starting the phone list? I would do it, but with mom still in physical therapy for her neck, I am bit preoccupied.

I had an idea about the phone/email list for the Nashville concert weekend. I created a mobile version of our club's web page (condensed for browsing with mobile phones) and thought about collecting and posting names/forum nicks/tele#/email on a separate phone list page. Here is a link to what I have in mind:

You can visit that page with a desktop browser or a phone based browser. I know some pholks would not want their name/email/tele# published on a public page but others are OK with it. My plan was to keep the page offline until a couple of days before the event and then take it down a day after the event.

Ideas, opinions, etc?

ps, Also - Let me know if your phone browser has any problems viewing the mobile site pages. I have only tested it with my Blackberry.

Sounds good to me. And peeps don't have to give their last names if they don't want. Heck they can provide only screen names if they want.

Works for me! We can all provide JUST our screen names AND our phone numbers and it will be posted publicly! Wonderful!

I agree that some folks (like me btw) "would not want their name/email/tele# published on a public page" so then, without a phone number, what would the purpose be of a "phone list"???

Most of the privacy-respecting threads, and I am thinking of the current Frisco thread right now, they send this information out via emails only. They do not post that information on boards. I do think y'all need to rethink...

I didn't realize you would be at Nashville (which is why I guess this arrangment matters to you). If you or anyone is not comfortable with the way it's set up, and need to reach someone on Nashville weekend but don't have their phone number, feel free to call me. I'll have the list on my person and will be glad to share info as needed.

We are coming to Nashville from Philly to see Jimmy. I am hoping that some of by BN friends will adopt us during tailgate as I will not have all the important items that I bring with me when I see him here (i.e. tiki bar, sand, pool, grill...) I am using a cooler for my suitcase as any good parothead would haha! Can anyone help me out on what parking lot we should be parking in and what time Nashville starts the party?

Any help would be greatful and hope to meet some BN'ers while I am there.

I am hoping that some of by BN friends will adopt us during tailgate as I will not have all the important items that I bring with me when I see him here (i.e. tiki bar, sand, pool, grill...) I am using a cooler for my suitcase as any good parothead would haha! Can anyone help me out on what parking lot we should be parking in and what time Nashville starts the party?

Any help would be greatful and hope to meet some BN'ers while I am there.

I hope I get to meet you too! fyi, this is an indoor venue, and "traditional" parking lot tailgating will not be option from what we've been told. Scroll back a few pages for some options though.

You could always go to the back door/artist entrance and carry in Tall Paul's guitar or one of Quincy's pans. Or I could bring a reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally large purse....

I've searched the topics and cannot find anything on tailgating on Saturday, May 1.
Can anyone please tell me if this is correct or not? We will be driving down on
Friday, April 30.....and will be bringing the laptop so when we check into the
hotel, I can get hooked up....thanks Parrot Heads!!!

I e-mailed the people who control the free parking at LP field before Bridgestone Arena events. They said that they would not be opening more than 2 hours before, but did offer up an alternative.

They run a shuttle from the parking lot at LP field if you can't do the walk (because it is kind of long), but the parking lots that are around LP field are open all the time. They allow tailgating for every Titans game, and will allow it for the concert. So, if anyone isn't going to the pre-party posted here (like me), there will be people tailgating in the regular pay lots near LP field!!!!

There may be some other pay lots that are closer that will allow it as well, I'll look into it later. Hope to see you all there!!!

Thank you borovy3488 for that information...I am coming from Philly and did not know about the tailgating issues until yesterday and then found out the pre party was sold out and my heart sank (not that I was worried I would not find a bar and drink all day I just really wanted to hang out with TN BN'ers!!!) so I am printing out your information on the tailgating lots and will ask the hotel where to find them...We will be there hoping to be adopted by PHun friends in TN!!! We traveled to FL in Feb and was adopted by a great group of BN'ers there!!! If there is a cell phone list started for people going to the lots I would like to join!

I used the same type of cool you are describing when we traveled to FL in Feb and people on the plane that that was a GREAT idea and got a chuckle out of it!!!

I would REALLY like to know who at LP Field told you they "...will allow it for the concert..."
I have talked to Titans/LP Field on the phone and was told tailgating in their parking lots is ONLY allowed during Titans games and other events at LP Field NOT before Bridgestone concerts. They were very emphatic about no tailgating for non-LP Field events. I may have to drive there and ask in person.

They are running a shuttle bus from Lot R to Bridgestone Arena for $3 roundtrip.

Nashville needs a new outdoor arena (to take the place of Starwood) with a BIG parking lot. And small buildings with bathrooms spaced out in the lot. And stuff.
