Was late getting a room, Quality Inn! Please tell me we are in a decent area, and walking distance to the show! We are driving from Charlotte, NC that morning.

I knew this girl made of memories and phrases, who lived her whole life in both chapters and stages.
Danced 'til the dawn, wished all her worries away.
She's a long way from a West Nashville grand ballroom gown.

That was just the "start" citcat. I figure as long as I have the scepter, everything else will fall into place.citcat wrote:Gah....you pack light !!! I probably will pack enough clothes for a week....I don't want to 'wish I'd brought that'.phjrsaunt wrote:Okay, I'm ready to go now!![]()

Still here in Knoxville, but as soon as I get off of work tomorrow I'm heading to Nashville with flipflop444 and IStoleThePeanutButter. Staying at the Doubletree. We're probably gonna grab a bite to eat and hang out on Broadway Friday night. Then on Saturday morning, Bob Roberts and his wife get to Nashville. Unfortunately we weren't able to get tickets for Rippy's in time so we're gonna have to wing it on Saturday. I have no idea what's in store.

PHONELIST REMINDER
I will be sending the Nashville April 30 thru May 2 concert weekend phone/email list out tonight via PM - private message. If you will be in town this weekend and want to keep in touch with BuffettNews friends so you can meet-up send me your info and I will add it and you to the list. Friday is a busy day for me but I will check my messages to see if anyone has a last minute addition and send it if they do.

Re: Who's going to Nashville May 1, 2010?
Just in from Ticketmaster. . .
Attention Jimmy Buffett Fans. There is free parking available for the May 1st concert at Bridgestone Arena.
Lot R at LP Field will be open for FREE parking with optional round-trip shuttle service for only $3 per person during every Bridgestone Arena event.
Walking from Lot R is easy (and free). Use the Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge and arrive on foot at the Bridgestone Arena in 10-12 minutes.
Shuttle service ($3 per person) will start TWO hours before every Bridgestone Arena event and runs until midnight. Shuttles will drop event attendees off at the corner of 4th and Demonbreun (near the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum). Shuttles will continuously circulate and arrive at each pick up point about every 10 minutes.
Lot R will open for parking TWO hours prior to Bridgestone Arena events. Lot R will close at 2 am.

Unless something has changed the shelby street ped. Bridge will be closed sat. So you will have to take the shuttle or walk a very long walk around..

Mr. Irishcajun works downtown, so we will probably use his parking pass. Not sure how much tailgating we will be doing. It will depend on weather and such.

Just posted on the ticket board, thought I'd include here. I have 4 seats available for face sec 102 row D. Would like to recoup my ticketba$tard ransom, but willing to negotiate if there are boat drinks and gumbo involved. We land at 6 on Thursday from Colorado. Cell is best 3035647583. Cheers.

Well that's just cool. I went on the radio live back when it first hit youtube and they recorded it and played quite a bit on the Crossville country station at 102.5. It is a small world!nashvilleparrothead wrote:wow small world... i was at tn tech visiting and heard it on the radio and was never able to find it anywhere online. consider my mind ophicially blown.MaxHeadroom56 wrote:Hey you Tennessee fans, in case you missed it here is a link to the parody of Jimmy's Great Filling Station Holdup that my son and I did last fall after the arrest of UT football players trying to hold up a poor guy for his hamburger money.

We will be at Paradise Park for sure if it is raining. I have local friends going to the show and they are hearing it is the place to be as well. I heard they have several Tequilla reps there all day so hopefully some free Tequilla!maid memories wrote:I just looked at the weather. 70% chance of thunderstorms. Rain is one thing, but thunderstorms change the game Saturday. After seeing some of the other posts regarding bars on Broad, I'm thinking Paradise Park would be the place to go. Any thoughts?
