A small crashed into a building in Austin, TX, local media reported. The plane crashed into an seven-story office building at 9420 Research Blvd, around 10 a.m. local time, KTBC reported.
Heavy smoke could be seen coming from the building, according to KTBC. The station also reported broken glass everywhere.
The building houses several businesses. KTBC reported that the building is being evacuated but that some people are still trapped on the second floor
For those that are able to watch - has any mention been made on the possibility of the FBI being housed in that building? If you do a google search on the address, the FBI ends up at the bottom of the first page....
The radio station I'm listening to first said the FBI was there, then it said it wasn't. I don't trust them - they're also saying the building is in downtown Austin. (yes I yell at the radio every time they say that)

Early reports that the building housed the FBI field office in Austin later turned out not to be true. An FBI spokesman told Fox News that the FBI office in Austin is near where the plane crashed, but not in the same building. There are some federal offices in the building, though authorities couldn't identify which ones.
Well my niece and nephew are both okay. Nephew actually works in the building next to it but is in Iowa on business. Now if I could hear from my cousin I would be okay.

I heard he set his house on fire last night. The family was staying in a motel and when the remainder of the family woke up he was gone. His car is at the Round Rock airport, plane gone and his plane matches the description of the one crashing into the building.
I'm now thinking this is someone going "postal" in a really major way.

At the smaller private and municipal airports there really isn't any security. My local has a 3' high fence. The planes that are parked outside are very accessible.

Small regional airports have almost no security at all. There's a fugitive in Washington that has stolen and crashed a number of aircraft in the last year or so.

Small regional airports have almost no security at all. There's a 18 year old with no flight training fugitive in Washington that has stolen and crashed a number of aircraft in the last year or so.
