Tina G

Post by rmissbrook »

I'm sitting here listening to the 2008 Houston concert and I nearly fell off my chair because, OMG Tina actually had a solo. And I did stumble across a couple of solos for her in some much older concerts, but certainly nothing later. And then right after that song (Gulf Coast Highway) Nadrihah had a whole song to herself.

Now don't get me wrong, Nadrihah has a beautiful voice. But why doesn't Tina get more solos and at least as much attention? If that is her choice that's just fine. But I am just curious.

Tina has chosen to devote all her spare time practicing and honing her craft for her solo album. word has it it should be ready any day now

She had a solo last year in Vegas in May. "we are the people" I told I her at Last Man Standing that I was at that Houston show in 2008 and that her solo was awesome. I told her to tell Jimmy to let her sing more. ;)

But then, wouldn't most of us wear "that stuff" everyday if we could???????? :o

Funny, the bank I work for seems to frown on flowered shirts, shorts, and flipflops for their commercial relationship managers........

Same here.
But since I work in a resort area we are pretty casual, though I'm sure if our main office in CT knew about it , they'd put a stop to it. :P

Shorts, t-shirt, sandals, and a Hawaiian shirt for me every day from about April until after MOTM. The sandals only go away if there is a lot of snow on the ground

Here she is singing with a band she was in in the '80's called "Humanoids on Parade"

IMHO I don't think Tina gets the solos like Nadirah does because she doesn't have that strong of a voice. She's very good at back up but put her out front, alone and she just can't match Nadirah. Don't get me wrong, as some people here know I have a huge crush on Tina and would love to see her perform more but just don't think she can really belt one out like Nadirah.
