Jimmy Buffett pseudonym???

I was in a bar last night and someone was trying to tell me that Jimmy Buffett wrote novels in his earlier days under a pseudonym but couldn't remember what name or which ones. I know that he wrote a song or two under one and plays out with his bar band under one but never heard of him using one as a novelist? Can anyone confirm or deny this unsubstantiated fact?

Considering how much Jimmy has been marketed recently, and the things he has put his name on, I think if he had written anything under a pseudonym someone would have spilled the beans on it by now.
