What is the scene like at Comcast (mansfield)
I keep reading that they don't allow tailgating. Couldn't be true for Buffett, right?

Talked to one of the security people last year. They waive all the rules for the Buffett shows. Lots will be open by 11 and the "scene" is awesome.
Dumb and drunk as I was, you know I would do it all again.

Went last year and the tailgating scene is great. Only problem was inside when they wouldn't let us buy beer because we were 23 and from out of state (NJ). Apparently if you're from not from Massachusetts or Rhode Island you have to be 25 to buy beer. I stood there watching kids who looked like they were 18 walking around with beers in hand, but myself who was of legal age could not get a beer. When I asked one of the security people about it he explained that it lowered the insurance costs, and encouraged me to find "alternate ways" to get a beer. Kinda lame. Besides that though it's a great venue.

Been to a number of different concerts at comcast, including JB. While JB is most elaborate, I've never had a single problem setting up some chairs, hoisting a few brews, and having a bit of food before the concert. The underage kids a few cars over who were making a big production out of drinking did have a bunch of problems. The Mansfield police patrolling the lot will tell you that if you don't draw attention to yourself, life is good. If you are obviously drunk and/or causing trouble, they will shut you down fast.

Last year was my first GW concert. I enjoyed it tremendously. Met many great BN'ers. The parking attendants were clueless but we still managed to be together and a good time was had by all. Even with the rain and the hail storm. 
You only have two options - havin' fun or freakin' out...

I'd also avoid the far back lots. Last year I picked up nails in 2 of my tires in one of the back lots. Has never happened in any of the other lots.

the scene is great! Last year was my first tailgate and we're going back this year. We too talked to the security offs and they said the same thing. they said it's the one concert where they know people are there to have fun and not get stupid. See you all in June!!
