Got a question.
My wife and I are pondering how to make it to a Caribbean Buffett concert.
Where is the advance information available on when Jimmy will be playing one of these concerts.
Thanks, in advance, for any info.

Re: Caribbean Winter Concerts
I think they are usually impromptu/short notice. I think Anguilla was 3 months, St Barth was a rumor almost til the end and Jimmy never confirmed til a month or two prior. And don't get me started on TAHITI which was much talked about from the stage but when it happened there was no notice at all.
I think it's a matter of being in the right place at the right time. Fortunately I was in November.
And, I should add, if anyone will have advance notice it will be someone here! Good luck!

My dream!
Do you think, if I gave Jimmy my schedule in advance, he could do better at being accessible (to me)?

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

Pam, I remember Jim coming home from work in FEB and saying to him "this is it we HAVE to go to St Barts." All based on a maybe. He thought I was nuts but there are some things that he knows better than to challenge me on.ScarletB wrote:I think they are usually impromptu/short notice. We were also going to be in Key West last May when the big announcement of the Today Show broadcasting and JBCR playing a concert. We were so excited only to have that damn H1N1 to scare everyone and Today to cancel coming to KW.
ETxBuffettFan, just keep banking the bucks so you'll be ready if it happens.

It was my first look baby that's all it took

I did the same thing when we were pretty sure about Anguilla. I wanted to make reservations and my husband looked at me like I had lost my mind........well.......he'll never do that again.......he hates to see me cry.......Summerlover wrote:Pam, I remember Jim coming home from work in FEB and saying to him "this is it we HAVE to go to St Barts." We feel so fortunate to have gone to SBH and to meet some great people too. Jim mentioned MOTM the other day??

Re: Caribbean Winter Concerts
We made reservations for Anguilla when we first heard rumors about it. We figured the most we had to lose was a week in April in the Carribbean...(not bad!)
Re: Caribbean Winter Concerts
Yah. Geez, what's the worst that can happen? You spend a coupla days in paradise waiting for Godot?
(I dropped $2.5k for a 3-day trip to SBH on a rumor that Jeemee would show up for Marius's big anniv party. He did show up. But it was still a gamble I'd do again.)
