Re: 2010 Shopping Report
Started my shopping for the Frisco pre-tailgate phlocking already. I always wear my big straw hat with the parrot on tailgate day, but I made a pretty cool pirate hat I wore to the Vegas-show-that-didn't-happen party last fall. Got some cool pirate beads whilst in Vegas. So, just had to buy a matching black pirate "Arr Enn" t-shirt with a skull wearing a nurse's cap engulfed by flames. Seemed fitting.

Re: 2010 Shopping Report
I had to go to Marshalls yesterday to return something and of course I had to make the rounds through the store before I did so, lol. They had these cute picnic food screens, those dome shaped thingies you put over plates of food to keep the icky flies off. Lots of different designs, but the 3 that stood out were flamingos, flip flops and tropical drinks. I got the flamingos and flip flops, the drink one looked like someone had sat on it.

Re: 2010 Shopping Report
Was shopping in Target yesterday and found a couple things of interest.
First of all their beach towels are on display. This year they have more PH themed ones.
Our favorite one is a called, Palm Tree multi. ?But the colors are of a dark golden brown sunset.
Size: 34 x 63
Price: $9.99
Other prints in this size are:
Pink flip flops
Hawaiian Floral
Flamingos
Palm Beach
They also have a shark themed towel.
Size: 34 X 53
Price: $12.99
And lastly an item I haven't seen in a while anywhere. It is a beach towel for two.
Size: 6 ft X 6 ft
Price: $19.88
Now for beach towel accessories they have towel clips which keep your towel fastened to your chair.
Last year I saw similar ones at WalMart.
Designs:
Parrots
Flamingos
Fish
Price: $5.49 for a set of two clips

Re: 2010 Shopping Report
Also on sale this week at Target is their Salsa. We really like the peach mango flavor. Sale price: 3 jars for $7.
Really wish our stores here would carry the Margaritaville brand. I know Sams Club was to be stocking it. But I check with the manager of our local SC and he says they can't get it.
Has anyone here tried the Margaritaville salsa? Where is it for sale in your area. Do we know if it is available at any of the carfes? I haven't seen it there?

What's a good price for pink lawn flamingos? Found some at Dollar General packed two in a box for ten bucks.

Have only found it at Meier's in the Chicago area. It's good, but pricey. Not a regular purchase. The chips aren't anything special.KruzinParrots wrote:Really wish our stores here would carry the Margaritaville brand. I know Sams Club was to be stocking it. Kohl'sSnowparrot wrote:So, super shoppers.
I'll be spending a week in Florida (March Break from school for the grandkeets and daughter who's a teacher, and, yes, both her husband and mine, the infamous No Parrot).
What should I look for in the stores of Ft Lauderdale and Orlando?
I'm thinking of stocking up on bedsheets: yours are SO much cheaper!
Aside from M'ville, what shopping opportunities should I not miss?
I am a short-term shopper: I quickly from mall fatigue, within 90 minutes, if my feet hold out that long!
Any suggestions?

I purchased several sets of these and use them to hold up the Margaritaville banners we use at the tailgate! Not just for lawn chairs!!!nutmeg wrote:KruzinParrots wrote:Also on sale this week at Target is their Salsa. We really like the peach mango flavor. Sale price: 3 jars for $7.
