Guitar Owners / Players...a question

I just picked up a 2002 Epiphone Les Paul (w / Alnico II Pro pickups ) from ebay for a price that is a steal. I also just bought a new Peavey Vypyr 15 15W 1x8 Guitar Combo Amp for said guitar.

My question(s). Does anyone own either a similar guitar or the amp? And what type of strings do you prefer on the guitar? From my reading online, it seems people like the Gibson strings, but others prefer the Ernie Ball's.

I know, I know, its all about the feel for each player. As of now, I am thinking about putting a new set of EB Slinkys on. They are not too rough on the fingers and have had good luck with them in the past. I don't change strings often, but I want something that stays in tune a long time and gives me the tone I know can come out of this axe.

I only use Elixers...

I don't think you'll go bad with any decent set from a reputable company. I use .11 D'addario chrome flatwounds, but I'm a surf guy.

I prefer Ball's. Just put a new set on my 12 and they sound great.

On my Strat I use Fender strings. The Schecter gets Ernie Balls, and my Taylor acoustic gets nothing but Elixers.
Strings are a personal preference for all guitar players. Best to try a few different ones and stick with what YOU like best.
