Another Guitar Player Question Thread

Post by Randy1278 »

Hello all,
A few days ago, I asked about the epiphone les paul and the peavy amp. Well, I finally got the amp and it has a "record out" function. I can wire the amp through the record out jack directly to the sound card in my laptop.

The question is...does anyone else do this with their music? If so, what recording software are you using and do you like it? Any thoughts on drum machine software as well.

Thanks for your time and I look forward to what you all have to say.

Randy

Depends...you on a mac or a pc? On a pc, audacity seems to be the most popular choice. Easy to use and does just about everything you would want done. Plus it's FREE !! Mac's come with garageband pre installed. I've heard good things about it too.
I don't use either......I dont own a mac, and my guitar playing really isn't worth recording. [smilie=cheeky-grin.gif]

Oops, I should have mentioned that I use a PC. I have audacity and a few others but there is a lot on there.

Like I said I was just wondering what everyone else used.
