Stars' proposals for Hollywood beach to be aired

Those hoping to waste away -- or spend a night -- in Margaritaville might be heading for Hollywood beach. Planet Hollywood sees its plan as a much better fit.

Can Jimmy Buffett take down Sylvester Stallone on Hollywood beach? Lon Tabatchnick certainly hopes so.

The Hollywood developer signed Buffett to bring the first Margaritaville resort to a city-owned site on the ocean.

"He has this ability to draw people in," Tabatchnick said. "Where would you like to keep your boat -- the Fort Lauderdale marina or the Margaritaville marina?"

...Plans show a tiki bar wrapped around a seaplane and a sailboat by the pool, as well as an amphitheater with free concerts arranged by the Margaritaville staff.

So that's where the effort of Biloxi is going. Makes more sense. It's a hell of a lot warmer down there. That and the storm surges are never as high as the Gulf Coast. In fact, if the sailboat and flying boat are to be like that, they'll ride any storm surge just fine!

Hollywood is not Miami. Miami is in another county, Miami-Dade. Hollywood is in Broward County and is a direct neighbor to Fort Lauderdale. Although not far from each other, culturally they're quite different, with Hollywood/Ft. Lauderdale being a much better location for the people who would frequent the establishment.

Just like the casino in Biloxi, and the one in Atlantic City... I doubt this will ever see the light of day.

Actually there is hope for the casino in Atlantic City. Coastal Developments just made another offer. From what I read in another thread here dedicated to the AC casino deal, the bankruptcy courts are most likely going to force Trump to take the deal. If he does not they will just shut him down. So......it is probably going to happen.

As far as the Miami resort.

When can we make a reservation?? Because we will as soon as they let us!! We are soooooo there!!

After this winter can't imagine a better destination!!

And for all PH who go to Florida to take cruises, isn't this a great location for a stay before or after!!

Jimmy is doing everything.... Except one thing.... JIMMY !! Get into LEGO ! It was voted toy of the century in 2000. You can not go wrong. Come on... Who else wants to build there own Jimmy stage out of LEGO. LEGO Jimmy stage, Lego Shrimpboat Sound, LEGO Margaritville, and of coarse... the big play area that every kid will want this Christmas... LEGO Tailgate. Come on you photoshoppers... at least paint me a picture.
