Big Top Set List Suggestions
Hello Parrotheads !!!
While putting together the set list for the Big Top tour, I thought I might get some input from you fine folks.
Besides the fan favorites, new songs from Buffet Hotel, what songs would you love to hear ?
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Well, I'm still here. Didn't have to go to rehab, and I'm not broke.

¡ Hola Bubba !
• Uncle John's Band
• Tin Cup Chalice
In fact, if you play either of those two songs at any of your shows this summer, I'll be stunned. But I'm still praying and hoping.

Definitely would love to hear some stuff like Barefoot Children, Death of an Unpopular Poet, and Last Mango in Paris. Also would LOVE to hear you sing It's My Job with Mac.

Since I won't be at any of the shows this year, I'm sure Havana Daydreamin' will be on that set list.

Re: Big Top Set List Suggestions
Well there aren't many songs that really apply to the circus but Jimmy will find little ways to introduce songs to tie it together. I've been to the circus as well as most people here and I can almost hear Jimmy barking, "Ladies and gentlemen and boys and girls of all ages, turn your attention to the center ring!"
"Well everybody who comes to the circus is really a kid a heart so sit back and enjoy the show." School Boy Heart
"Now I know you're hungry and and like eating something from the concession stand while you're watching thrilling circus acts so sit back and maybe enjoy a burger while we entertain you." CIP
"I was talkng to one of the guys putting up the big tent and he looked like he was so dedicated so I asked him why he was so serious about something like putting up a tent. He just said..." You guessed it. It' My Job
Okay enough of this silliness. You get the picture.

Hi Jimmy.......we'll be at Camden on Saturday.......
How about -
I'll play for Gumbo
Lone Palm
Rhumba Man
Banana Republic (perhaps for your signature final encore)
Last Mango (see my profile favorite song
)
Ringling Ringling
A Dead cover would be great - OR perhaps a cover of American Pie??????
Looking forward to a GREAT summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmm....I like JollyMon66's idea. A cover of American Pie. One of my favorite songs of all time sung by my favorite artist of all time. That would be awesome!

If you think about it, Nautical Wheelers is a lovely song that hardly ever gets played live. Would make for a great sing-along, actually.FunkHouse9 wrote:I like FunkHouse9's idea of playing Nautical Wheelers!!! Jeez people, c'mon! It ain't gonna play itself!!!
