Its hard to define how it makes you feel but I felt I wanted to share this..............

Wootton Bassett is a small town in south west England, via which all our fallen soldiers in Afganistan are repatriated. Nearly the whole town turn out for each and every one of them...........

This story touched me to the point that I felt compelled to step back from the my jokes and fun to post this special thank you (with a tear in my eye) -

My youngest cousin died in action in Afghanistan last fall. Bikers from the area participated in the funeral procession as a show of patriotic support and to provide a security presence should this tragic event be invaded by protesters. They led what I would estimate were 200 cars to the cemetery. Fortunately there were no protests and Brandon’s body was properly laid to rest with a heart-wrenching 21 gun salute.

First, for those of you who are reading this post and have served - I say thank you. For those of you reading this post and who help with our soldiers funerals, who stand at attention as a soldier's funeral proceeds to the cemetery, or who participate in veteran memorial celebrations throughout our country each year…I say thank you. You and your efforts are appreciated by many!

We can have great fun on Internet sites like BN and the concerts we attend but sometime it's good that we stop to remember that our freedom to live the lives we choose is in large part due the ultimate sacrifices many Americans have made over the last 200 plus years. That’s my peace…thanks for reading.
